1.Explore the Historic Center

One of the best things to do in Trogir is to stroll through the charming streets and immerse yourself in the well-preserved medieval architecture that lines the alleys. Despite its small size, the town has many wonders to uncover. From the stunning city gate to the remains of the ancient city walls, there’s lots of history here. 

2. St. Lawrence Cathedral

The St. Lawrence Cathedral in Trogir, Croatia, is a stunning Romanesque masterpiece that stands in the Old Town. This architectural gem is a perfect example of incredible Venetian architecture, allowing you to dive into the Dalmatia region’s past. The construction of the cathedral spanned several centuries, blending the different styles together.

3. Kamerlengo Castle

Look out over historic Trogir and the glistening sea up the top of a majestic 15th-century fortress. Located on the southwest part of the island, the so-called Kamerlengo Castle proudly rises from the sea and makes a must-visit when exploring the old town. Delve into the rich history of the trapeze-shaped fortress as you make your way past its commanding towers.

4. Visit the Beaches on Čiovo Island

As it lies on the stunning Adriatic coastline of Croatia, Trogir is surrounded by some incredible beaches, especially on neighboring Ciovo Island. From hidden bays to the popular Okrug Gornji Beach, there are plenty of options to choose from. Hop on a boat, glide through the crystal-clear waters, and spend an afternoon soaking up the sun on the warm pebbles.   You can walk to these beaches from Trogir’s center, but you can also take a water taxi or drive there. You’ll find many lovely beach clubs like Beach Bar Borkko, Laganini Beach Club, and Beach Bar Lloyd perched along the waterfront. Go swimming, snorkeling, or windsurfing during the day, and end the night at one of the many beautiful restaurants in town.

5. Wander along Trogir’s Riva

On a warm and sunny day, make your way to Trogir’s lovely waterfront promenade. Stroll across the path, soaking up the views of the sea and indulging in a coffee or delicious lunch in one of the many restaurants lining the promenade. 

6. The Church of St. Nicholas

Nestled in the southern part of Trogir, Croatia, you’ll find the hidden gem of the Benedictine Monastery of St. Nicholas. This peaceful church makes a lovely escape from the bustling crowds, full of mesmerizing interiors and beautiful frescoes. The walled complex surrounding the building is a true architectural marvel, with townhouses, fortified walls, and ancient towers. 

8. Visit Klis Castle of Game of Thrones

Perched majestically above the village of Klis near Split and Trogir stands the captivating Klis Fortress. This medieval stronghold has over two millennia of history! It’s known as one of the region’s most valuable examples of defensive architecture, boasting long walls around a central stronghold.
